Automatic laboratory instrument for determining the water absorption of ceramic tiles (or other materials) according to the method of water impregnation by vacuum immersion.  It is equipped with a programmer that can hold several cycles; up to three different cycles can be selected via the selector switch as required. Manual opening of the lid, facilitated by the presence of gas shock absorbers that allow it to be lifted effortlessly; safety hook for securing when fully open and request for manual intervention when closing ( to have both hands engaged).
