29 Jan DIGITALIZATION PROJECT
The digitalization project, implemented thanks to European funds from the Emilia-Romagna Region, allows Main Laboratory Sassuolo to implement a strategic plan for the growth and development of the company, investing in new technological and digital tools for quality control services, namely the release of a digitalized test report. The project “DIGITAL MLS – New digital tools and services for the improvement and improvement of company production processes” aims to use digital technologies to optimize the management of company processes, not all digitalized to date, with the possibility of exchanging data in an automated way.
The project’s general objective is to introduce new technologies to innovate the processes of service production, commercial activity and quality control.
The technologies that the company intends to implement are consistent with the 4.0 paradigm, allowing an information increase in productivity and traceability, as well as satisfying the main needs of customers in the ceramic sector, an area in which Sassuolo Ceramic District (MO) expresses international excellence.
The specific objectives of the project are therefore attributable to the following:
– automate and digitize the analysis services for the expansion and slippage tests, according to reference standards, purchasing two new specific measuring instruments for carrying out these tests consistent with the 4.0 paradigm.
– digitize the commercial processes through the implementation of a multimedia application to be installed in the company’s virtual showroom that offers a company’s products digital experience to the customer. This software will also allow customers to view videos and information about the Main Laboratory Sassuolo instruments produced and marketed.
– identify technological solutions for the process’s digitization related to the laboratory instruments quality management.
– strengthen the company’s information infrastructure through the purchase of new servers and licenses as an enabling condition for the two processes of digital innovation interventions related to the company’s services and marketing.
The instruments and interventions covered by this project are highly innovative and allow laboratory tests to be carried out on materials to improve the quality of the products being analyzed.
The investments are included in the company’s machine park and exchange data with the management system that collects the data from the tests performed by the instruments. The new technologies bring countless benefits to the company in terms of increased productivity and reduced costs, as well as a positive social and environmental impact.
The digitalization project includes total investments of €95,346.30, financed by a regional contribution of €42,905.84
